MASH Makes named to 2026 Global Cleantech 100

MASH Makes has been named to the 2026 Global Cleantech 100, a list of private companies recognised for their potential to make a significant market impact over the next 5–10 years.

Compiled by Cleantech Group, the 2026 list was selected from over 24,000 nominations across 57 countries. It recognises companies offering practical, scalable answers to global challenges such as energy transition, industrial decarbonisation, and climate resilience. MASH Makes was selected in the Agriculture & Food category, which highlights companies delivering scalable solutions at the intersection of food systems, land use, and climate.

This follows earlier recognition in the 2025 APAC Cleantech 25, which spotlighted climate infrastructure solutions across Asia-Pacific. In 2024, MASH Makes was also named a Top 20 finalist in the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition — the world’s leading challenge for scalable carbon sequestration.

Scalable solutions for hard-to-abate sectors

MASH Makes develops and deploys a modular thermochemical platform that converts agricultural residues into:

  • Biofuel – a low-cost, low-carbon alternative to fossil fuel, compatible with existing shipping and industrial infrastructure
  • Biochar – a carbon-rich soil amendment that improves soil health and enables permanent carbon removal

Our distributed production model operates close to biomass sources and creates value through carbon credits, improved agricultural outcomes, emissions reductions for shipping, and inclusive local supply chains. Current operations in India focus on cashew shell residues, with next-generation technology expanding the types of usable biomass.

This recognition reflects growing momentum behind MASH Makes’ approach to delivering climate impact where it’s most needed.
