News: MASH Makes selected for 2025 APAC Cleantech 25

MASH Makes has been named to the 2025 APAC Cleantech 25, a list of private companies in Asia-Pacific identified by Cleantech Group as most likely to make a significant market impact over the next 5–10 years.

The list highlights companies providing practical solutions to some of the region’s most pressing challenges: rising climate volatility, supply chain resilience, energy security, and industrial adaptation. MASH Makes was selected from over 1,300 nominations across 16 countries.

Our inclusion reflects growing attention to scalable bio-based technologies in decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors. MASH Makes operates a modular thermochemical platform that converts agricultural waste into:

  • Biofuel: a low-cost, low-carbon alternative to fossil fuel for shipping and heavy industry, compatible with existing infrastructure;
  • Biochar: a soil additive that improves agricultural productivity and provides permanent carbon removal.

Unlike other biofuel pathways, MASH Makes’ process captures additional value through carbon credits and local agricultural benefits, while enabling distributed production near feedstock sources.

Our current operations in India are focused on scaling bio-oil and biochar production using cashew shell residues. Next-generation gasification technology will expand usable biomass types and allow production of hydrogen, methanol, and electricity alongside existing outputs.

Selection to the APAC Cleantech 25 recognises companies building deployable infrastructure to address climate, energy, and development challenges at once—particularly in emerging markets.
